I. Overview

Bronze powder is an alloy powder composed of copper and tin, often referred to simply as "bronze". As a common functional material among alloy powders, it boasts excellent machinability, electrical conductivity, and corrosion resistance. The powder appears gray, with a particle size typically ranging from 10 to 50μm and a density of approximately 7.8g/cm³.

II. Core Properties

(1) Physical Properties
Bronze powder exhibits stable physical properties, along with outstanding electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. It has a low melting point (800~900℃), offering good castability and processability. Additionally, it features high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and is not easily abraded.
(2) Chemical Properties
Bronze powder possesses stable chemical properties and strong corrosion resistance. At room temperature, it maintains good chemical stability against water and air, and is not prone to oxidation. Even at high temperatures, its oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance are further enhanced.
(3) Mechanical Properties
Bronze powder delivers excellent mechanical performance, including high tensile strength, yield strength, and hardness. It also demonstrates good wear resistance and fatigue resistance, making it suitable for manufacturing various mechanical components.
(4) Thermal Properties
Bronze powder has favorable thermal properties, characterized by a low melting point and a small coefficient of thermal expansion. At high temperatures, it retains good thermal conductivity and thermal stability.

III. Main Applications

(1) Casting Materials
As a high-quality casting material, bronze powder is widely used in manufacturing various castings. Thanks to its low melting point and good fluidity, it can be easily poured into complex shapes. Bronze castings offer excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and processability, and are applied in producing parts for machinery, automobiles, and other fields.
(2) Bushing Manufacturing
Bronze powder can be used to produce bearing bushings. These bushings have high wear resistance and good fatigue resistance, enabling them to withstand high pressure and speed. In the bearing industry, bronze bushings are widely used in various mechanical equipment to protect bearing surfaces and extend the service life of machinery.
(3) Electrical Materials
With good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, bronze powder is suitable for manufacturing various electrical materials such as electrodes, wire insulation, and electronic components. Additionally, it can be used as electroplating materials and resistance materials.
(4) Wear-Resistant Coatings
Bronze powder serves as an effective wear-resistant coating material for application on the surface of various mechanical parts. By applying a bronze coating, the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and service life of the parts can be significantly improved. In aerospace, military, and other high-demand fields, bronze coatings are widely used to protect high-speed and high-load components.
